It is clear that the soloist is loving being where he is and what he is doing. His smile before his performance made my heart smile.

The praise to the great bassonist isn't even necessary - he really shines and is one of my favorites - What makes this piece fantastic is that Mozart (the GENIUS!) was able to compose a piece where the main actor is not the orchestra - it is the bassoon. Fantastic in ALL aspects! I hope everybody has also loved this 🙂

As a concert pianist who has played 8 of the piano concerti.. This is one of the most beautiful and well played versions I have heard of the Bb Bassoon. Bravo maestro. Beautiful clarity, and ornamentation as well as fab breathing technique and excellent conducting. Truly stunning.
